Erica Scharf has spent more than ten years working in documentary film and television, as an editor, director, post producer, field producer, shooter, and “preditor” – shaping stories, writing scripts and cutting shows.  She's created content for networks including A&E, HGTV and Discovery, and is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.  In 2012, her feature documentary, Up Heartbreak Hill, was broadcast nationally on PBS’ acclaimed series, POV.  The film, which she directed, produced and shot, was the result of more than four years of work and received funding from ITVS, NAPT and Cinereach.
